US: Sprint shuts down Virgin Mobile ahead of T-Mobile merger

    As part of the merger with T-Mobile, Sprint agreed to sell off its subsidiaries Virgin and Boost to Dish Network, combining the two brands simplifies that process.

    Virgin Mobile users were notified about the change this month, which will take place in early February.
