Online data protection company Websense, Inc. announced Monday that it has signed an agreement with Vista Equity Partners to be acquired for $24.75 per share. Websense will be bought-out by the investment company that focuses on software and technology. In a statement, Websense said that while receiving offers from other potential buyers, Vista was ultimately the winning bid as one that reflected the company’s “assessment of the fair value of the company.” The deal will result in Websense becoming a private business.
