US: Two more former UFC fighters join antitrust lawsuit

Former UFC combatants Kyle Kingsbury and Darren Uyenoyama are the latest to pile on in the case against the parent company of the UFC, according to multiple media outlets.

    The lawsuit from Kingsbury and Uyenoyama was filed against the UFC on March 20, 2015, and is now the fifth such complaint brought against the promotion.

    With those two added to the mix, the total count is now up to eleven fighters. The lawsuit claims that UFC violated the Sherman Antitrust Act after illegally maintaining a monopoly by “systematically eliminating competition from rival promoters, artificially suppressing fighters’ earnings from bouts and merchandising and marketing activities through restrictive contracting and other exclusionary practices.”
