The world’s top cartel researcher John Connor, has been awarded the Alfred E. Kahn Award for Antitrust Achievement, according to reports.
The award, presented at the American Antitrust Institute’s Annual Conference held earlier this week in Washington, was awarded to Connor, known as the “Cartel Hunter,” for his achievements in antitrust and cartel literature and analysis. Connor has penned 19 books and monographs, reports say, and more than 200 scholarly articles in the areas of economics and antitrust.
Among his most well-known publications is Global Price Fixing, which won its own Jerry S. Cohen Award for Antitrust Scholarship in 2000. The Cohen award was also awarded to another article co-authored by Cohen, “Cartels as Rational Business Strategy: Crime Pays.”
Connor is currently a professor at Emeritus but had previously taught at Pursue University. Much of his early career was dedicated to the economics of agriculture, which eventually branched out into the study of all cartels.
