The Wall Street Journal reports that PayPal is exploring ways to accept Bitcoin as a payments option.
“It’s a new disruptive technology, so, yeah, we’re looking at Bitcoin closely,” John Donahoe, CEO of PayPal’s parent company eBay, told the Wall Street Journal. “There may be ways to enable it inside PayPal.”
Donahoe said his company has made no formal commitment to accept the currency in the future.
