PayPal at $7 Billion – Company Expects mPayment Volume to Double in ’12

That was the estimate made by the CEO of PayPal’s parent company, eBay, recently at the CES technology show in Las Vegas, according to Finextra.

John Donahoe revealed PayPal currently has more than 17 million customers who pay via mobile on a regular basis – up from 8 million in June.

PayPal expects to nearly double its mobile payment transaction volume this year from $4 billion in 2011 to $7 billion in 2012. In 2010, the company saw $750 million mobile payments processed.
