HSBC’s U.K. Customers Experience Payment Card Outage

HSBC Bank accountholders in the U.K. were temporarily unable to use their cards to make payments or withdraw cash from ATMs, the bank’s social media presence confirms.

“An IT hardware failure affected some ATM and card transactions,” the bank revealed through its Twitter account on Sunday evening. The bank suffered a similar glitch last November, Finextra notes.
