Argentina’s competition watchdog CNDC will begin on Wednesday their ‘Competition Week’, a series of events aimed at promoting a culture of economic competition and highlighting its importance for economic development, as well as providing the latest meeting-ground for competition law academics and enforcers from around the world.
With dozens of events taking place between November 2nd and 10th, the CNDC’s ‘Competition Week’ will host training and specialization courses for the agency’s own members, as well as discussion panels for the general public and an entire evening dedicated to the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella’s competition courses, bringing together several of the top names in international competition enforcement and economic theory.
Among the most highly-anticipated events, November 8th will see the CNDC and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will host a series of talks, dedicated an evaluation of existing procedures for public bidding, public policy and best practices focused on preventing cartel formation in public contract bidding.
