Internet-based home dining service Just Eat has received approval from Spanish competition regulator CNMC for its proposed purchase of local rival La Nevera Roja, part of Rocket Internet.

The company hopes the purchase of Nevera Roja will close in the next few days. Just Eat now has over 5,000 restaurants in its network, covering the entire country.
Just Eat’s spokesman, David Buttress, has said that “this acquisition, along with the purchases in Italy, Mexico and Brazil, solidifies our leadership in several geographical regions where the online food delivery industry is growing rapidly.”
