US: Former DOJ antitrust head to leave FCC

Onetime deputy assistant attorney general for Antitrust at the US Department of Justice, David Turetsky, will reportedly step down from his current position at the Federal Communications Commission, say reports.

    FCC chairman Tom Wheeler announced Turetsky is set to depart the regulator by the end of next month after two years at the communications watchdog.

    In addition to his antitrust experience at the DOJ, Turetsky also served as partner and co-chair of a private firm’s antitrust practice.

    Reports did not specify what Turetsky plans to do following his April departure.
