Canada: Government has high hopes for spectrum auction

    The results of the bidding are set to be announced late Wednesday, concluding a saga marked with controversy over the lack of foreign interest in the spectrum as well as last-minute withdrawals from the bidding by smaller operators.

    According to reports, those controversies lead to some pessimism among industry experts; now, however, they are changing their tune and predicting positive results for the nation largely controlled by Rogers Communications, Telus Corp and Bell Canada.
