Turkey: Nation’s telecom leader falls under regulator scrutiny

Turkey’s leading telecom company Turk Telekom is reportedly the subject of a new investigation by the nation’s Competition Authority for allegations of anticompetitive behavior. According to reports, a preliminary probe has been launched into accusations that Turk Telekom is selling phone cards to vendors at below-market price; the regulator will now look into whether the practices constitute an abuse of dominance following the preliminary investigation.
