SDE supports Hypermarcas acquisition of Mantecorp

The Secretaria de Direito Econômico (SDE), the antitrust authority of Brazil’s Justice Ministry, has recommended approving Hypermarcas’ acquisition of Mantecorp Industria Quimica & Farmaceutica. SDE agreed with the Secretaria de Acompanhamento Econômico (SEAE) of the Finance Ministry’s assessment: the SEAE conditioned approval on a non-compete restriction clause.
