Coffee chains to be probed over franchise practices

The Korean Fair Trade Commission has announced an investigation into five local coffee shop chains’ franchise practices. The probe is to begin in April, and is prompted by complaints of unfair treatment of franchises by coffee shop headquarters. The chains under inquiry are Caffe Bene, Holly’s, Angel-in-us, Ediya, and Tom N Toms.
