Bahamas: Watchdog to investigate telecom service provider for service disruption

The Bahamas telecoms watchdog, the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) has launched an investigation into the services offered by the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC). Stephen Bereaux, the URCA’s director of policy and regulation said that the watchdog had received numerous complaints from customers which were backed by evidence regarding the decrease in quality of service, and service disruptions.
