Cofetel, Mexico’s telecommunications regulatory agency, approved rules implementing price and quality controls for dedicated lines leased by Telefonos de Mexico SAB to competitors. Telmex is the only company that Cofetel has designated as dominant in the market for dedicated lines. The rules will be effective once published in the official gazette, which is to be in a matter of days.
