Netherlands: Supermarket product merger reaches throughout northwest Europe

Plukton Food Group B.V. and Mijwo Beheer B.V. have reached an agreement on terms to merge are will submit the deal to respective antitrust regulators, as well as to the Duct Works Councils of both companies. If approved, Plukon Food Group and Mijwo Beheer’s InterChicken will merge. Both companies specialize in pre-packaged supermarket products; InterChicken also deals in traditional family butchers. The companies have a combined 4,000 employees.
