Per a statement released by the firm, Turner’s arrival strengthens O’Melveny’s antitrust bench in Europe and adds depth to its global competition team. Her practice focuses on abuse of dominance, merger reviews, and cartel enforcement, and she brings expertise in navigating the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA)—a central component of the EU’s digital regulation strategy.

According to a statement from O’Melveny, Turner will advise clients on compliance with the DMA and help them capitalize on the evolving digital regulatory framework. She will also assist with antitrust and cartel investigations and provide strategic counsel on merger control matters before EU, UK, and German authorities.

Turner previously served as a senior advisor at BEUC, the European Consumer Organization, where she championed consumer interests in EU competition law, especially in the areas of technology and sustainability. Her work included third-party interventions in major EU antitrust and merger proceedings.

Her public and private sector experience includes roles with the European Commission, where she advised the Competition Commissioner, and with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission as Special Advisor for EU Affairs. She has also held senior in-house legal positions, including general counsel and executive vice president at Visa Europe. Before joining O’Melveny, Turner was a partner in the Competition Group at Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman), based in London and Brussels.

The firm highlighted that Turner is qualified to practice law in both the United Kingdom and Germany, further broadening O’Melveny’s capacity to serve clients across multiple jurisdictions.
