U.K.: Casino group may need to sell casinos to win takeover bid

 |  December 18, 2012

Rank, a European gaming group, may sell six casinos in Britain to remedy competition concerns over its takeover of competitor Gala Coral for £205 million. The deal would make Rank Britain’s largest casino operator. Rank is majority-owned by Malaysian company Guoco Group. Selling six casinos is a possible remedy suggested by the Commission. A final report on the deal will be published by the Commission in February.
