Wix.com, a software as a service (SaaS) platform, has partnered with DoorDash Drive, the delivery network, the New York company announced Wednesday (March 30).
The integration provides restaurateurs with Wix Restaurants access to a wide delivery fleet. Wix provides an all-in-one, simple restaurant system that allows eateries to create an online menu and take online orders and reservations.
Under this delivery option, DoorDash Drive can provide Wix Restaurants with more flexibility and control over the delivery costs and logistics without building or hiring a delivery fleet, Wix said.
“I love that Wix is providing us with the DoorDash integration,” said Khanidta Sangtong, owner of Green Herb Thai Cuisine. “As a small restaurant, maintaining our own delivery resources has been a challenge. The DoorDash Drive integration significantly decreased my stress over outsourcing drivers.”
Adam Garfield, vice president of Wix Restaurants, said his company delivers solutions to help its restaurants overcome industry challenges and grow their business.
The benefits for restaurant owners include streamlining operations and improving profitability with delivery to their direct ordering channel with a flat-rate delivery fee and a large delivery driver fleet, Wix said.
In January, PYMNTS reported Wix partnered with global payment technology platform Nuvei Corp. to launch, manage and grow its online presence, streamlining payment processing for Wix merchants in North America.
The collaboration is expected to bring “fast, seamless and secure payment processing for Wix merchants and their customers across all industries, including those with higher margins or more complex regulatory requirements,” the joint announcement said.r
As part of the partnership, Nuvei will provide Wix with local acquiring and payment processing for its merchants, which is expected to bring them enhanced online shopping and digital payment experiences.
