Together, the two bring more than six decades of combined experience in antitrust law and policy. Oh, who spent over 20 years leading the antitrust group at rival firm Bae, Kim & Lee, began his legal career as a judge and later served as a judicial researcher at the Supreme Court before entering private practice in 2004. He is best known for representing Apple in a 2016 KFTC case that resulted in a record-setting fine against Qualcomm.

Shin, meanwhile, offers three decades of regulatory knowledge built at the KFTC, where he served as a standing commissioner and director general overseeing key areas such as cartel investigations and competition policy. Per a statement from Yoon & Yang, he has also held academic posts at Chung-Ang University and Yonsei University following his government service.

The two new recruits will jointly lead the firm’s recently launched Corporate Risk & Regulatory Response Center. The unit is designed to support clients facing intensified regulatory oversight across industries.

“Regulatory scrutiny on unfair practices and private benefits is expected to intensify,” said Yoon & Yang managing partner Myung Soo Lee in a statement. “The addition of these two seasoned experts enables Yoon & Yang to provide clients with proactive and effective guidance.”
