Backer of Twitter, Uber Closes $425M Fund

Venture capital firm Benchmark, which has supported firms like Twitter, Instagram, Uber and Zendesk, has closed its eighth fund, TechCrunch reported on December 6.
 
The new fund is valued at $425 million, according to TechCrunch, which cited SEC documentation. Investors such as Matt Cohler, Peter Fenton, Bill Gurlet and Mitch Lasky are partners involved with the fund.
 
Benchmark has provided funding to more than 250 companies since 1995.
