US: Packaging companies to merge into world’s second-largest

    RockTenn CEO Steven Voorhees will serve as chief executive officer and president of the new company. John Luke Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of MWV, will become non-executive chairman of the new company’s board.

    “There’s significant opportunity around the world for us to grow as we see more activity in emerging markets,” MeadWestvaco Chief Executive John Luke said.
