Botswana: Pay-TV co MultiChoice hit with investigation

The Competition Authority has launched an investigation into MultiChoice, a top pay-television provider within Botswana. According to reports, a member of the public submitted a formal complaint to the regulator concerning the company, alleging MultiChoice restricted consumer choice; the company is deemed a monopoly in the country. The formal complaint requested the Authority to determine whether MultiChoice is violating Section 30 of the Competition Act.
