South Korea: High Court denies Intel’s fine appeal

An appeal by tech giants Intel and Qualcomm, issued for anticompetitive business practices, has been denies but e Seoul High Court. South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission first issued the fine of more than $240 million to the companies; Intel was fined for abuse of dominance in the South Korean market, and Qualcomm was fined for unfair practices in the way it takes royalties from and offers rebates to competitors and clients. Intel had petitioned against the fine.
