US: Florida AG makes move on optical disc drive makers

In response to a complaint filed on Thursday, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has officially filed a suit against optical disc drive maker Hitachi-LG Data Storage, the company suspected of price-fixing. According to reports, the disc drives, used to read and rewrite CDs and DVDs, were sold to Dell and Hewelett-Packard. This is not the first time Hitachi has been in a price-fixing controversy. In 2011 the company was fined $21 million in San Francisco in a case that named an additional 24 companies for price-fixing.
