According to reports, Pabst Brewing Co would agree to buying Michelob from Anheuser-Busch In Bev if necessary. Anheuser-Busch InBev is currently in a legal battle to takeover Grupo Modelo SAB for $20.1 billion as the Department of Justice has filed a suit to block the deal. Pabst has announced that if InBev must divest assets to remedy concerns over the merger, it would buy Michelob, though clarified that it is “premature to reach out” to AB InBev at this time.
