Turkey: Authorities open probe into nation’s fixed-line operator leader

Turkey’s Competition Board has reported that it has opened an investigation into Turk Telekom, the nation’s largest fixed-line operator, over concerns of dominance abuse. The Competition Board has released a statement on its website that says the investigation was initiated by a complaint submitted by the Competitive Telco Operators Association which claimed Turk Telekom is fixing prices lower than market value, thereby hampering competition.
