The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) has given final approval to a subscription migration agreement between NBN and SingTel Optus. The ACCC had issued a draft determination of approval in late May 2012. Under the agreement, Optus will move its HFC customers to NBN’s fiber optic network. The agreement also decommissions parts of Optus’ HFC network, thus avoiding the parts’ costs of operation because NBN provides the same service.
