Endive growers appeal Autorité de la concurrence’s fine for price-fixing and cartel

The French endive growers and labor groups are appealing a fine handed down by the Autorité de la concurrence in March. France’s antitrust regulator had fined the endive industry 3.65 million euros for cartelization and price-fixing. A spokesperson for the endive sector points to the threats that the nation’s agricultural sector faces from declining fruit and vegetable consumption as well as increased imports.
