Australia’s competition authority is considering whether to allow Queensland’s truck drivers to collectively bargain their contracts with Hanson Construction Materials Pty Ltd. The consideration supports the ACCC’s hope to give more bargaining power to current and future drivers, who provide concrete cartage services, and to save on negotiations costs. The Transport Workers Union first proposed the idea to the ACCC last August.
