Canada: Northern airlines planning merger

 |  April 15, 2014

Two of Northern Canada’s airlines are planning a merger, reports say.

Canadian North and First Air have both confirmed plans to combine, a deal their parent companies, NorTerra and Makivik, respectively, say will be a “merger of equals.”

Financial details of their plans were not disclosed, and the deal would remain subject to regulatory approval.
