CNC opens formal proceedings against Andalusian cotton gin companies for price-fixing

The Investigations Divisions of the CNC has opened formal proceedings against six cotton gin companies from Andalucía for possible price-fixing. Acting upon a complaint by the Union of Small Farmers and Cattle Breeders of Andalucía (Unión de Pequeños Agricultores y Ganaderos de Andalucía – UPA-Andalucía), the CNC found prima facie evidence of price-fixing agreements entered into with cotton producers.
