The Swiss Competition Commission has approved the acquisition of Orange Switzerland by Apax Partners. Apax Partners is a U.K. private equity firm; Orange Switzerland, a France Telecom subsidiary, is one of Switzerland’s leading mobile operators. The Commission found that the presence of three large network providers remaining in the mobile telephone market provided sufficient competition.
