Salomé Cisnal de Ugarte has joined the Brussels office of Hogan Lovells as a partner. She joins from Crowell & Moring, where she advised clients on antitrust investigations and merger transactions.

A member of the Brussels and Madrid bars, Salomé’s practice includes all aspects of EU competition law, including complex merger transactions, licensing and distribution agreements, antitrust investigations and compliance, and state aid. She defends clients’ interests before the European Commission and national competition authorities, as well as in the European Courts in Luxembourg. She has worked across a broad range of sectors, but has a particular focus and expertise in consumer goods and financial services.

Suyong Kim, global head of antitrust, competition and economic regulation, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Salomé to our antitrust team in Brussels.
