    Germany’s competition authority fined Haribo €2.4 million ($3 million) after the German unit of Mars Inc. blew the whistle on the sharing of confidential sales negotiation information between Mars, Haribo and two other competitors. Meetings between representatives of the four companies took place regularly between 2006 and 2007 and the conversation topic was discounts to retailers and other confidential material.
