Japan Airlines-IAG joint venture gets antitrust immunity from Japanese Ministry

The Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has granted antitrust immunity to the joint venture between Japan Airlines and International Airlines Group. The joint venture will provide greater consumer benefits for flights between the EU and Japan. It also calls for revenue-sharing between the two airlines and strengthening the oneworld alliance. The venture is to launch in March 2013.
