Joe Wayland next in line as acting assistant AG for DOJ Antitrust Division

Joe Wayland will be acting assistant attorney general for the DOJ’s Antitrust Division. He will be taking over Sharis Pozen’s position, who will be stepping down on April 30. Wayland is currently a senior official in the division. His experience includes leading the DOJ team in the H&R Block/TaxAct case. William Baer has been nominated by the Obama administration to head the antitrust division.
