Korean Air, Emirates admit to price-fixing

Korean Air Lines Co. Limited (Korean Air) and Emirates have now joined four other airlines admitting to price-fixing cargo flights to New Zealand. Korean Air will pay $3.5 million while Emirates will pay $1.5 million for agreeing fuel and security surcharges, bringing the total settlement over $21 million. Six airlines, including Air New Zealand Limited, remain defendants in the case which began in August of 2011.
