Malaysia: Price-fixers beware: MyCC cracking down

Malaysia’s antitrust regulator MyCC has denounced price-fixing in a new focus against the anticompetitive practice. The watchdog stated in response to several complaints issued to the authority by the Malaysian Manufactures and the Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders about recently hiked depot gate charges. According to those complaints, those prices were raised without discussion or approval from the business groups. According to reports, MyCC has acknowledged the complaints and assured that those found to have fixed prices anticompetitively will face penalties.
