Mexico: Bachoco ready to fight poultry price-fixing claims

Mexico’s Federal Commission of Economic Competition (CFC) recently announced to Bachoco that the poultry company has been found to have fixed prices and conspired with other local procurers to swap information. Now, Bachoco is publicly denying the claims in a press release, announcing it will fight the allegations under Mexican law. Bachoco, as well as other companies in the poultry industry, had been under investigation since the CFC probe was announced in late-2009.
