Mexico: Delta and Aeromexico file application to enhance cooperation

Delta Air Lines announced yesterday that it intends to enter into a partnership with Aeromexico to expand its flight operations in the US and Mexican region. Both the companies have filed joint application to the Federal Competition Commission to get the approval for joint operations.

    Through the joint operations, both the airlines would be able to increase passenger traffic by offering extended services, including improved airport facilities. Along with this the airlines would be offering a wide range of flight network and would introduce new flight routes.

    The application would be a continuation of the Delta and Aeromexico $1.5 billion which was signed in the last week of March.
