Mexico: Regs need extra time to rule on Heineken, Grupo Modelo agreements

As Mexico’s antitrust regulator, the Federal Competition Commission, reviews what critics have deemed as an anticompetitive agreement between beer giants Heineken NV and Grupo Modelo SAB, reports say the regulators have now extended its review deadline by 15 days. The CFC is looking into whether the two companies’ agreements for exclusive beer distribution are anticompetitive, and announced the extended deadline on its website.
