Netherlands: Competition authority approves hospital merger

The netherlands Comeptition Authority NMa has approved of a merger between two hospitals, according to its website. Foundation Scheper-Bethesda and Foundation Christian Hospital Refaja have been approved to merger following a review that found “now major negative effects on competition,” said the authority. The NMa sought advice from the Dutch Healthcare Authority before making its decision, as is standard proceedure.
