Pakistan: Competition regs meet to keep performance in check

The Competition Commission of Pakistan has reportedly held its 20th Competition Consultative Group meeting as a way for the regulator to receive feedback and comments on the performance of the competition authority, say reports.

    The CCP established the meetings in 2008 to keep its regulatory performance in check and hear concerns from the government, regulatory, business and academic communicates.

    This time, reports say CCP chairman Dr. Joseph Wilson updated the group on recent updates to the regulator’s leniency program policies, and applauded the agency for using its limited resources to its maximum benefit.
