Phishing scam uses Commission for Consumer Protection to obtain email passwords

Channel bTV reports on a new phishing scam in Bulgaria: emails are sent claiming that a complaint has been filed against the recipient with the Commission for Consumer Protection. To see what the complaint is about, the email recipient had to submit their email password. The Commission for Consumer Protection states that it has not sent the emails, and that when it wishes to notify the subject of a complaint, the practicie is to do so via an official letter. The website provided in the phishing email has a U.S.-registered domain.
