Slovakia: Commission expands scrutiny of Deutsche Telekom

 |  March 6, 2014

The European Commission said it would expand its investigation into Deutsche Telekom-owned Slovak Telekom for allegations of anticompetitive behavior in Slovakia, say reports.

The Commission first launched an investigation into 2013 following complaints from rivals that the telco refused access to its broadband network in Slovakia to rivals. The company is also suspected of charging unfair wholesale prices. Deutsche Telekom denied the allegations.

Deutsche Telekom announced Thursday that the case is ongoing after the Commission heard the telcos deny the allegations.
