According to reports, Quirk operates across Africa and London with clients that include Tyco and Woolworths.

WPP is facing major competition from the Publicis/Omnicom tie-up, worth $45 billion, which is still pending review. But with the EU’s clearance of the deal, reports say the merger has pushed WPP into second-place in the industry.

The acquisition of Quirk will also need regulatory approval; financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
