South Korea: Disk drive makers forced to hand over docs

South Korea-based makers of optical disk drives charged in the US of price-fixing have failed to prevent US officials of seeing documents for the case. Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology Korea Corporation, named as the defendant, had looked to block the release of documents under claims the US Department of Justice would be misusing the discovery process, overreaching its power to obtain them. The effort has been denied, however. A DOJ representative declined to comment on the matter.
