Wood floor makers Kährs and Karelia-Upofloor have agreed to merge in a strategic move to become a combined market leader throughout Europe in several nations including Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Russia with anticipated annual revenues of $390 million. In a statement Kährs CEO Christer Persson says the two companies complement each other in business practice, products and geography; Persson will become CEO of the new company if the merge is approved.
